Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the operator of rxlikewise.com, branded as Rx Likewise ("we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the site. This site is intended for users located in the United States only. If you are outside the U.S., please do not use the site or do not expect these disclosures to match your local privacy laws.

1. Who we are

Rx Likewise is the public name for this informational website about GLP-1 medications, costs, shortages, and related tools. We do not prescribe, dispense, or sell medications. For questions about this policy or privacy requests, contact us through the Feedback page (subject line: "Privacy request").

Where data may be processed. Information may be processed in the United States and in other regions where our hosting, analytics, or database vendors operate, according to their infrastructure and your deployment settings. We do not list every possible region on this page; see each vendor's policy for details.

2. Information we collect

  • Usage and device data. When you browse the site, standard server and application logs (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages viewed, approximate timestamps) may be processed by our hosting provider to deliver the service and protect security.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag / gtag) to understand aggregate traffic and feature usage. Google may set cookies such as _ga, _gid, or similar identifiers, and may receive IP address and device data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Fonts. We load the Inter font from Google Fonts; your browser may contact Google servers, which can log technical data in line with Google's policies.
  • Newsletter. If you submit your email on the About page, it is currently used only to display an on-screen confirmation; we do not operate a live mailing list backend in this repository snapshot. When a list is activated, we will update this policy and obtain appropriate consent.
  • Feedback and product requests. Submitting through Feedback requires a signed-in account. Your message and any contact information you choose to provide may be stored by our feedback tooling or email workflow and associated with your account identifier for triage.
  • Community price and supply reports. When Supabase is configured, submissions on the Report page require a signed-in account (email/password or Google, processed by Supabase Auth). Fields you submit (drug, amount, pharmacy or platform, optional location) are stored for moderation and display as aggregate community signals. Do not submit protected health information (PHI) you are not allowed to share.
  • Local storage. We may use sessionStorage or localStorage for UI preferences (for example, dismissing the privacy strip). These values typically do not identify you by name.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Operate, secure, and improve the website and tools;
  • Measure aggregate engagement (not to make medical decisions about you);
  • Respond to feedback and, where applicable, moderate community submissions;
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Besides the Google Analytics cookies noted above, essential cookies may be set by our host or framework to keep the site functioning. If you use Sign in, Supabase Auth may store session tokens in the browser (for example in localStorage) so you stay signed in until you sign out. We do not use advertising retargeting pixels on this site at this time.

5. Sharing and processors

We may share information with service providers that help us run the site, including:

  • Google LLC (Analytics, Fonts, Tag Manager scripts);
  • Hosting / deployment (e.g., Vercel or similar) for delivery and security logs;
  • Supabase, when enabled, for structured storage of community reports and related feedback workflows.

We do not sell your personal information for money as that term is commonly understood under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising on this site at this time.

6. U.S. state privacy rights (including California)

Depending on where you live in the United States, you may have rights to access, delete, or correct certain personal information, and to opt out of certain types of sharing. Because offerings vary by state law, we handle requests on a case-by-case basis.

California residents: You may request access or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions under law. To submit a request, use Feedback with the subject "California privacy request" and describe your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We do not knowingly sell personal information of minors under 16 through this site.

7. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us via Feedback so we can delete it.

8. Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. Analytics data in Google is subject to Google's retention settings. Community submissions, when stored, may be retained for moderation, safety, and aggregate reporting.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of this static site. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Policy last reviewed" date at the top will change when we make material updates. Continued use of the site after changes means you acknowledge the updated policy.
